Someonesaid“wearereadingthefirstverseofthefirstchapterofabook,whosepagesareinfinite”.Idon’tknowwhowrotethesewords,butI’vealwayslikedthemasareminderthatthefuturecanbeanythingwewantittobe.Weareallinthepositionofthefarmers.Ifweplantagoodseed,wereapagoodharvest.Ifweplantnothingatall,weharvestnothingatall.

Weareyoung.“Howtospendtheyouth?”Itisameaningfulquestion.Toanswerit,firstIhavetoask“whatdoyouunderstandbythewordyouth?”Youthisnotatimeoflife,it’sastateofmind.It’snotamatterofrosycheeks,redlipsorsuppleknees.It’sthematterofthewill.It’sthefreshneofthedeepspringoflife.

Apoetsaid“Toseeaworldinagrainofsand,andaheaveninawildflower,holdinfinityinthepalmofyourhand,andeternityinanhour.Severaldaysago,Ihadachancetolistentoalecture.Ilearntalotthere.I’dliketoshareitwithallofyou.Let’sshowourrightpalms.Wecanseethreelinesthatshowhowourlove.careerandlifeis.Ihaveashortlineoflife.

Whataboutyours?Iwonderedwhetherwecouldseeourfutureinthisway.Well,let’smakeafist.Whereisourfuture?

Whereisourlove,career,andlife?Tellme.Yeah,itisinourhands.Itisheldinourselves.

Weallwantthefuturetobebetterthanthepast.Butthefuturecangobetteritself.Don’tcrybecauseitisover,smilebecauseithappened.Fromthepast,we’velearntthatthelifeistough,butwearetougher.We’velearntthatwecan’tchoosehowwefeel,butwecanchoosewhataboutit.Failuredoesn’tmeanyoudon’thaveit,itdoesmeanyoushoulddoitinadifferentway.Failuredoesn’tmeanyoushouldgiveup,itdoesmeanyoumusttryharder.

Ihaveabeliefdeepdownwithinmyheartthatmyfuturewillbebright.

Myfuturewillbebrightwithallmylovingfamilies.Whethertimefindusfarapartoritkeepsusclosetogether,theyarealwaysstandingbymyside.

Myfuturewillbebrightwithallthecloseandcaringfriendsofmine.WheneverIamsadanddown,Iknowtheywouldholdmyhandsandwarmmyheart.

Myfuturewillbebrightwiththebeliefinbrighterdays.Lifedoesn’talwaysplaybyrules,andwemustfacethefactthattherearedaysthatthingscouldbebetter.ButIhaveabeliefwhichseemethroughthedarktimes.

Ihaveabeliefthatjoysoncelostcanalwaysbefound.

Ihaveabeliefthatthereisrainbowsaftereverystorm.

Ihaveabeliefthatinthelongrun,myeffortswillgivebackasmuchasIgive,withoutadoubt.

Thisbeliefgivesmehopethatisascertainassunwhentheworldseemstobewearingafrown.

Itisasteadyandjoyfullightinmylife.

ItisablessingIcontinuetocountonthroughtheyears.

Itisalightthatwillshineinmeuntiltheendoftime.

Itisatreasureamilliontimesmorevaluablethantheonessomepeoplespendalifetimetryingtofind.

Now,mdearfriends,carrythesuninsideyou,andreachoutforthedreamsthatguideyouwhereyouwanttogo.Youhavewhatittakestomakeyourpathofsucce.Youhavethecourageandstrengthtoseethingsthrough.Youhavethesmilethatwillguideyoutothebeautifultomorrows.

Youthisnotatimeoflife,itisastateofminditisnotrosycheeks,redlipsandsuppleknees,itisamatteroftheemotions:itisthefreshnessitisthefreshnessofthedeepspringsoflife.

Youthmeansatemperamentalpredominanceofcourageovertimidityoftheappetite,foradventureovertheloveofease.Thisoftenexistsinamanof60morethanaboyof20.Nobodygrowsoldmerelybyanumberofyears.Wegrowoldbydesertingourideals.

Yearswrinkletheskin,buttogiveupenthusiasmwrinklesthesoul.Worry,fear,self–distrustbowstheheartandturnsthespiritbacktodust.

Whether60of16,thereisineveryhumanbeing„sheartthelureofwonders,theunfailingchildlikeappetiteofwhat‟snextandthejoyofthegameofliving.Inthecenterofyourheartandmyheartthere‟sawirelessstation:solongasitreceivesmessagesofbeauty,hope,cheer,courageandpowerfrommenandfromtheinfinite,solongasyouareyoung.

Whentheaerialsaredown,andyourspiritiscoveredwithsnowsofcynicismandtheiceofpessimism,thenyouaregrownold,evenat20,butaslongasyouraerialsareup,tocatchwavesofoptimism,thereishopeyoumaydieyoungat80.That‟sall!Thankyou!

IhavebeeninUniversityforaboutoneyear.Duringmystayhere,Icametorealizethatuniversitylifeislikedrinkingcoke.Weexperiencealltastesoflifehere,sour,sweet,bitterandhot.

IamfromProvince,whichisfarawayfromhere.IoftenmissmyMum,friends,andrelativesinmyhometown.However,Ican'tseethemveryoften.Solonelinessalwayskeepsmecompany.IamsadthatIcan'tbetherewiththem.

Luckyforme,lifeinuniversityisrichandcolorful.Withmorefreetime,wecandomanymorethingsbesidesstudy,suchasjoiningsocietiesclubs,andtakingpart-timejobs.Suchactivitiesnotonlymakeourlifemorecolorful,butalsohelpusimproveallkindsofskills.Theuniversityisasocietyminiature,whatwelearnherewillbenefitourfuturelife.

Ourpathinlifewillnotalwaysbesmooth.Setbackscan'tbeavoided.Failinganimportantexam,breakupwithboyorgirlfriend,orrefusedbyapromisingcompany,suchsetbacksarelikelytogetusdown.Sometimeswefellsofrustratedthatweevenburstintotears.

Drinkincokeiswonderful,despitetheundesirbleconsequenthiccups.It'sbitter,sourandpeppery,butalsosweet.Andyou'llevenfeelexcitedaftergulpingdownaglass.Acollegeexperienceispartofgrowingup.Wecry,smile,fallinlove,gethurt,leave,learnandthenwebecomeabetterperson.
