Barriers to English listening and speaking ability in foreign language learning: Chinese people have two major objective obstacles in English learning. 1. Barriers caused by cultural differences and different living habits. Due to the differences of British and American people's living habits and cultural background, when we listen to English, even if there are no new words in the materials, the difficulty is not very big, we still do not listen to Chinese as smoothly, there will be some difficulty.

2. Lack of English language environment. Our southwest area student language environment is basically the local dialect namely sichuan dialect, now the mandarin has begun to appear in the student's communication and the exchange, but usually USES English to communicate the student to be very few, therefore does not use English to talk. The opportunity that the student contacts English is very few, feel English language environment also only in English classroom.
