新年与春节

1月1日是公元纪年的新年元旦，是世界各国普遍通行的节日。在辞旧迎新的时候，人们都要欢娱庆贺一番，表达祈求丰收、驱灾避邪、恭喜发财、事业有成、生活美满、吉祥如意的愿望和追求。

春节，是中国的农历新年，也是全世界华人最重要的节日。除中国外，日本、越南、朝鲜、新加坡也有过春节的习惯。

圣诞节

公元354年，罗马教皇宣布12月25日为耶稣的生日，因而这一天便成为圣诞节。这一宗教节日，现已成为世界上许多国家特别是信仰基督教的西方国

复活节

复活节在信仰基督教的西方国家中，是仅次于圣诞节的第二大节日 ，是纪念耶稣复活的日子。其日期在每年春分（3月21日）月圆后的第一个星期日，一般在3月22日—4月25日之间。由于鸡蛋孕育着生命，人们就把蛋作为复活的象征。

狂欢节

狂欢节，又称“谢肉节”，英文译为“嘉年华会”，是欧美国家广泛流行的节日。它起源于古罗马的农神节。狂欢节在每年的封斋节即耶稣复活节之前40天举行，各国狂欢节的日期不同。意大利为每年的2月中旬，德国则在前一年的年末便开始。狂欢节一般延续10天至2周。

愚人节

愚人节又称万愚节，在每年的4月1日。据说，耶稣在这一天遭受犹太人戏弄。这天上午可以允许人们搞一些无伤大雅的把戏而不受指责。有人编假话哄骗别人，也有人做恶作剧捉弄别人等。不过所有骗人的把戏难免有破绽，只要记住这一天是愚人节，就可以辨别真假，一笑了知。

情人节

情人节，即圣瓦伦丁节，每年的2月14日。这是一个情侣们的节日，富有浪漫色彩，充满了友谊和欢乐。情人节在欧洲已有悠久的历史。广大民众尤其是青年人非常重视这个节日。
