Up的用法

Up原始词义是在高处或向上，在此基础上延伸出以下词义和用法：

1、增高、增大、增多、增强。

（1）blow up放大

I had the picture blown up to an 8*10. 我把照片的尺寸放大到8乘10

（2）bring up养大

He was born and brought up in New Jersey.

（3）build up 增大

Pressure built up as the water continued to flow into the clogged pipe.

（4）hang up 挂起来

Hang up your clothes before you go to bed.

（5）keep up 保持不下降

（6）let up 缓和
