  Impromptu Speech Topics

  You don't have to be afraid of impromptu speeches. There is a way to conquer this scary task! All you have to do is practice making quick speech outlines in your head. When you work from an outline, you'll find it easy to fill in the supporting statements.

  Use this list of impromptu speech topics to practice making a quickie speech outline in your head. For each of the top-ics below, just think of three main points you'd like to make.

  For example, if your speech topic is "Your least favorite chores," (你最不喜欢的家务)you could quickly come up with three statements: ?

  I don't know anybody who likes to fold laundry, so the first task on my list of unhappy chores is folding

  laundry(叠衣服). Taking out the trash(垃圾) is another chore that most people dread(be afraid of), and I'm no different. The worst chore in the entire household has to be cleaning the toilet.

  Task Words

  i often wonder what friendship is. friendship is too big a topic to talk about either specifically or generally. i guemost of us are still in a puzzling state about what friendship is, and i myself should be included. maybe people who define friendship according to his own life experience will say that they have a good concept of friendship, which i think is too narrow to get an objective

  definition of it. but how hard it would be to talk about friendship without mixing personal feeling in it, especially when it comes to the matter of closest friend. so here i would like to share my views with you about friendship, about my closest friend. i have had friends since i was born, some of whom have come along with me through my life, and it is impossible to always keep your friends around you since departure is one part of life that everybody must experience. though some of you may oppose me by exaggerating the connotation of the concept of being together that is friends may not stay together physically but they can stay together always

  i still hold that departure is an absolute thing. how could it be possible that your friend (even your closest friend) always keeps you in heart as he/she had, is having and will have different experiences from yours? somehow different experiences make up of different hearts. man’s heart is a quite strange thing. never think that one can wholly touch it. sometimes our heart is so abstract that you don’t even know how to get to them. if we take heart as a cube, and closest friend a gentle breeze, this breeze can only blow one facet of this cube from one direction and can rarely reach any other sides of your

  heart. i’m not sure whether i have put it very clearly but believe me that there are no fixed closest friend in your life. with different time, place, space, emotion and situation, you have

  different closest friends. when i play basketball, i have a closest friend who knows how to cooperate with me and together give our

  opponents a deadly attack; when i am alone and feel so lonely, i have a friend who can always comfort me by saying that he is my friend; when i am in need of money, the one who comes all the way and lend his money to me without any hesitation is my closest friend;

  when i am proud and a friend dares to stand out to warn me that i should keep modest, he is my closest friend; and, when i read old man and the sea, i think hemingway is my best friend. you see then, how many closest friends i have. but i must say, though i always want to keep all of them in my heart, they are not actually always in my heart. they have their own friends and their own life. winston

  摘要:近些年,我县在教育教学方面进行了大规模的改革,先后提出语文,英语课前演讲三到五分钟,其结果是调动了学生的课堂积极性,激发了课堂教学的趣味性,纠正了学生们的许多发音和语法错误,使学生充分融入到教学活动中,提高了课堂效率、收到良好教学效果。我们要充分地把握英语语言的特点以及初中学生的年龄特点,深入地钻研教材,优化课堂教学,为他们的发展打下良好的基础。

  关键词:英语教学;英语口语;兴趣;能力

  英语教学的最主要目的是培养学生的能力。它是英语课的重要任务,又是学习英语知识的完整过程。但从目前的现状来看,由于“应试”,最被忽视的就是“说”的训练。从教师的心态来看,认为“说”会影响教学进度,而且,中考、高考又不考它,做大量的练习题,写好作文就行了。熟不知,“说”的训练正是为“听”和“写”打基础,它们之间相辅相成,是不可分的。也是引导学生进行不同思维方式的相互转变,从而达到让学生集中注意力,提高学习效率的目的。那么,怎样训练学生“说”的能力呢?为了提高学生“说”的能力,我们采用了“课前三分钟演讲”。具体做法是:每堂语文课在讲授新课前按一定顺序,由一名或两名学生演讲,然后根据他们的演讲,由学生或老师做简短的讲评。坚持由易到难的原则,刚开始时,站在座位上讲,后来到台上讲,内容可讲与科本相关的,也可以讲自己的所闻所见所感。“课前三分钟演讲”有哪些好处呢?

  首先,它训练了学生的语言表达能力。学生把准备好的内容表达出来。要求脱稿,内容明了,围绕一个主题。通过演讲,学生内在的表达能力在教师和全体同学面前真实地外传。“三分钟演讲”使学生比较准确地了解自己表达能力。如在讲话中语言是否准确,吐字是否清楚,声音是否宏亮,节奏是否合适,声调是否恰当,表情是否自然,感情是否真实等。在讲话中,学生看到了别人,也看到了自己,讲评别人的同时,也在规范着自己,在这种较为轻松的氛围在,不知不觉地增加学生的学习兴趣。

  其次,能够激发学生学习英语的兴趣。演讲的学生只是面对老师好同班同学,

  心理压力不大,时间久了,学生的演讲活动就会变为一种轻松愉快的活动,当然,演讲者一定是非常认真的,在获得老师和同学的鼓励后,其学习兴趣会有一定程度的提升。

  第三,能够纠正了学生们的许多发音和语法错误,增强学生的自信心。学生在进行英语演讲时会有许多发音和句子的语法错误,这些错误中,一些是个别学生的错误,一些是许多学生的错误,在讲评时会加以纠正,如此长此以往,学生在发音和句子的组织能力会有很大进步;学生也会增强自己的自信心,由不敢说到说不好再到无拘无束、大胆地说,一次成功的讲述、一次精彩的朗诵在给别人以享受的同时,也会为自己带来强烈的自尊与自信。得别对农村的学生来说,意义更不一样。

  第三,它有助于提高学生的英语写作能力。学生要想三分钟演讲取得较好的成绩,必须演讲前要精心准备,组织好材料,最后修改成稿(为了讲好,有个别学生还需要请教其他学生)。因而说的过程,也是写的过程,要想说好必须写好,不能应付,这样就能调动学生的积极性,激发学生的学习兴趣。此外,课前的演讲锻炼了学生逻辑思维。为了准备演讲,学生要选择材料和组织材料,进行认真地思考。先说什么,后说什么,怎样开头,怎样结尾,怎样提出问题,怎样进行论述,这些都要进行认识、分析、归纳、推理、判断等各种形式的思维活动。

  第四,能增进学生与学生、老师与学生之间的信任,缩短距离。学生演讲结束后,学生和老师要进行评述,这其实是一种帮助,他们心理会感激,自然地,我们之间的距离就拉近。对于所在的小组成员,为了能给小组加分,小组成员更会热情帮助的。

  “教无定法,贵在得法。”以上对课前三分钟演讲活动的认识对大家只作一个参考,其实教师什么时候开始实践都不算晚。只要认识到此项活动对发展学生口语的重要性,并持之以恒地进行下去,学生学习的兴趣肯定能得到激发,班级管理的能力肯也会得到的全面提高,学生学习的环境会更美好。
